‘over u’ is one another track from Will Hyde, in support of his with u in mind EP, duo for an October 23^rd, 2020 release. On the surface, ‘over u’ is another indie-pop gem, but exceptional production and an emotional hook turn the track into his most special yet. Crisp guitars form the majority of the accompaniment, but his penchant for a sing-along chorus (which he says came to him in the shower) is pretty impressive. “When i wrote this song i had been away from home for quite a long time. that space had given me a lot of time to think about everything. including the past. i noticed there were certain relationships that i was holding onto & it meant that i was not being present,” he says when explaining where the track came from.
